Like the setting for a summer holiday, Locks Ride Recreation Ground has a play area with sand, water, hammocks and palm trees.
The Beach Area The beach area has hammocks, picnic tables and barbecues that must be pre-booked. Beside the play area is a multi-gym, two football pitches, a cricket pitch and a pavilion. The Cafe There is also a cafe that serves ice creams and refreshments. The Splash Pad The Locks Ride Splash Pad is open from mid-May to mid-September. It’s lots of fun, especially on a hot day but can be very busy. This has jets of water and overhead buckets that gradually fill with water and then suddenly spill down onto the people below.
