A baby-friendly cinema screening of a new release film in a cinema with sofas? It sounded too good to be true but Baby Club was wonderful.
I loved having my baby in the cinema with me. We shared a relaxing morning with cuddles, cake and coffee.
The Cinema The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and a number of people smiled at me when I arrived. Babies, Babies Everywhere They babbled and cried on and off throughout the film but I didn’t really notice, probably because the film sound was at a good level – just loud enough that you could hear it over the crying but not so loud that I ever worried about my baby’s hearing. Tickets with a Cake and Drink There are good baby changing facilities in the foyer, which people were using throughout the film. Seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis. 
When we arrived, the cinema was nearly full but somehow we found a single sofa on the aisle by the door. 
There were babies everywhere – snuggling on sofas, lying on the floor, cuddling up on laps, sleeping in buggies or being rocked in aisles. Most were tiny. 
Tickets included a cake and a hot drink. The staff were friendly and one walked me to the cinema screen and held the door open for me.
