Abinger Hammer Playground is a pretty place to take a picnic and spend a lazy afternoon splashing through the River Tillingbourne.
There is also a small adventure play area next to the river but no facilities so bring anything you need.
River Tillingbourne When we visited the river was shallow, slow flowing and ideal for paddling, playing and splashing. Some children were catching little fish in nets by the bridge. Picnics! There is plenty of space for a lazy picnic next to the river. The Tea Rooms Opposite the green there is a friendly tea room and shop that sells snacks, sandwiches, drinks, nets and buckets.
