A walk up Chinthurst Hill is guaranteed to involve some climbing – there are stairs and gentle slopes to tackle on the path, and trees and tangled logs to master at the top. There are also beautiful views, wildflowers and dens to discover along the way.
The Folly Self-Guided Trail If you are interested in this trail then take a copy of the Surrey Wildlife Trust’s Visitor Guide and Self-Guided Trail Leaflet with you. We could not find any copies at Chinthurst Hill. Climbing the Hill 
At the top of the hill is a folly that was built in the 1930s. It is a listed building but you cannot go inside. 
Signposts mark a self-guided trail up and down the hill. 
We found Chinthurst Hill easy to climb. The paths were easy to walk on with steps along several stretches.
The path does fork in places but the route to the tower at the top of the hill is signposted.
