There is no doubt that Cricklade North Meadow is a special place. Bordered by both the River Thames and the River Churn, this old hay meadow is carpeted with wild flowers during the spring and summer months, including about 80% of all Britain’s snake’s head fritillaries.

These beautiful, bell-shaped flowers are pink, purple or white in colour and often have a chequered pattern, like snake skin. 
Cricklade North Meadow is essentially a large meadow with a choice of three walking routes.

These are generally flat with either short grass or mud. They can become muddy during wet weather.
